Growth plan for Partake Foods, 5 Oct 2026

Scale spend. Hold CAC.

Partake is on shelves in 11,000+ stores. This plan moves that trust online: ten creators live by week six, twelve new ads a week at the start, and one number to protect, a target CAC of $17.76.

01 The number

Hold CAC at $17.76 while $34.99 cookie orders scale

The one number to protect is a target CAC of $17.76. It comes from a ceiling of $29.60: a $37 average order, 40% margin and one repeat order. The $37 and the margin are my guesses; week one replaces them with your numbers.

Protect

Target CAC: $17.76 on a first purchase

Ceiling = average order × margin × (1 + repeat orders): $37 × 40% × (1 + 1) = $29.60. Guard line = 0.6 × $29.60 = $17.76. Across the ranges: $0.01 to $141.75.

Three moves

  1. Kill losing ads early so spend only follows ads that land under the $17.76 guard line.
  2. Send paid traffic to landing pages that lead with the 20% first-order offer and free shipping on orders $50+.
  3. Pause any ad set whose variants are unavailable, so spend never lands on a product that cannot ship.

02 Variety

Soft Baked, Crunchy and Mini lines each need their own hooks

Each ad concept has to carry one reason to buy, one proof and one product. For Partake that means gluten-free and vegan wording copied from the site, a named cookie like Soft Baked Lemon, and the 20% first-order offer, with one variable per test.

Reasons to buy, proof and creative count

Each row is a reason to buy that the brand already has proof for. The count is how many of the ads carry it: a reason with a single ad is a bet, not a pattern, and the next batch of concepts moves toward the reasons that win.

03 Disturbances

A $105.00 pouch and unavailable variants are the risks to watch

Risks with likelihood, impact, owner and gate
DisturbanceLikelihoodImpactOwnerGate (proposed)
First-time buyers meet the $105.00 Teeny Tiny Crunchy price and bounceMedMedBothSend traffic to $34.99 cookies first; pause any ad whose cost per order passes $29.60.
Variants marked unavailable, such as the 6 Boxes and 12 Boxes options, waste ad spendMedHighYour teamCheck stock before each launch; pause ads on any unavailable variant within a day.
Free shipping starts at $50, so a $34.99 order pays $4.99 shipping and margin shrinksHighMedMeTest a bundle over $50; stop if cost per order stays above $17.76 after two tests.
Allergen and health wording drifts from Partake's own words in creator videosMedHighBothEvery video is checked against the claims sheet before posting; any miss pulls the video the same day.
Tracking is incomplete, so CAC cannot be read dailyMedHighYour teamDaily CAC must reconcile with store orders by day 14, or spend stays flat.
Creators arrive slower than two a week and videos fall short of the planMedMedMeIf fewer than six creators are live by week four, slow new ad launches until the roster catches up.
The 20% first-order offer hides weak ads: orders arrive but CAC stays above $17.76MedHighMeJudge every ad on cost per order after the discount; kill any ad above $29.60 after $250 of spend.

Scores are my read from outside the company, re-scored in week one with your data. Each risk has one owner and one gate that can be checked with a number, so nobody has to argue about whether it happened.

04 The ceiling

An average order of $37 sets the ceiling at $29.60

Unit economics lines
LineValueStatus
Average order$37 (range $0.01–$105.00)Assumption Range from the site product prices (Published); the midpoint is a guess
Gross margin40% (range 35–45%)Assumption Replace in week one

Margin per customer, all orders$29.60Calculated Average order × margin × (1 + repeat orders)
Guard line for CAC$17.76Calculated 0.6 × the margin per customer

The math, with the assumed lines

Ceiling = average order × margin × (1 + repeat orders): $37 × 40% × (1 + 1) = $29.60. Guard line = 0.6 × $29.60 = $17.76. Across the ranges: $0.01 to $141.75.

Range across the assumptions: $0 to $142.

The $37 average order, the 40% margin and the repeat-order count are guesses. The $29.60 ceiling and $17.76 guard line are arithmetic on them. Week one replaces all three with your real numbers.

The ceiling is a range, not one number: the most a new customer can cost before shipping and packaging, which I do not have. Replace the guessed lines with yours and every figure below recalculates.

05 Test ramp

Six weeks, $24,000 of tests on 20% first-order hooks

Test ramp by week
WeekNew ads × budget / ad (proposed)Weekly test spendCumulativeCreators postingCAC target (proposed)
112 × $250$3,000$3,0000$18
212 × $250$3,000$6,0002$18
312–20 × $250$4,000$10,0004$18

520 × $250$5,000$19,0008$18
620 × $250$5,000$24,00010$18

Weeks one and two run twelve ads at $250 each, $3,000 a week. Weeks three and four run twelve to twenty ads, $4,000 a week. Weeks five and six run twenty ads, $5,000 a week. The six weeks total $24,000 of tests; losers are killed early.

Cumulative test spend, week by week (proposed): $24,000 by week 6
  1. $3,000Wk 1
  2. $6,000Wk 2
  3. $10,000Wk 3
  4. $14,000Wk 4
  5. $19,000Wk 5
  6. $24,000Wk 6

The math. Week 1: 12 × $250 = $3,000; Week 2: 12 × $250 = $3,000; Week 3: 16 × $250 = $4,000; Week 4: 16 × $250 = $4,000; Week 5: 20 × $250 = $5,000; Week 6: 20 × $250 = $5,000. Total $24,000 (96 ads × $250). A range such as 12–20 counts as its midpoint.

Weeks one and two test what the brand already has, rewritten per reason to buy. From week three, creator videos enter paid only after they beat their own account median. A range of new ads counts as its midpoint in the spend column.

06 Volume

More concepts mean more winners for Partake's cookie range

More concepts mean more winners. On a guessed hit rate and spend per winner, twenty concepts give two winners and $18,000 added; eighty give eight winners and $72,000. Partake's range has plenty of hooks to try.

Concepts, hit rate and added spend
Concepts tested / monthHit rate (assumed)New winners / monthSpend each winner holds (assumed)Added spend at target CAC
2010%2$300 / day$18,000 / month
4010%4$300 / day$36,000 / month
6010%6$300 / day$54,000 / month
8010%8$300 / day$72,000 / month

The math. 20 concepts × 10% = 2 winners × $300 × 30 days = $18,000 a month; 40 concepts × 10% = 4 winners × $300 × 30 days = $36,000 a month; 60 concepts × 10% = 6 winners × $300 × 30 days = $54,000 a month; 80 concepts × 10% = 8 winners × $300 × 30 days = $72,000 a month.

The hit rate and the spend each winner holds are placeholders. The first thirty days of tests replace them with real numbers, and the table is recalculated the same day.

Proposed split of the $100,000; the share shifts toward scaling as soon as winners clear the $17.76 guard line.

The math. 45% × $100,000 = $45,000; 25% × $100,000 = $25,000; 20% × $100,000 = $20,000; 10% × $100,000 = $10,000. Sum 100% = $100,000.

This split is a proposal. It moves toward scaling as winners prove out, and toward testing when fatigue shows.

08 Channels

Meta leads; 11,000+ store shoppers come next

Channels and opening conditions
ChannelOpen when (proposed)Why wait
MetaWeek one, with Soft Baked Lemon and Snickerdoodle ads built around the 20% first-order offer.Fastest place to test many hooks with one variable per test.
TikTokOnce creator videos are live in week two and hooks are proven on Meta.Creator videos for Partake's cookies fit native feeds.
PinterestWhen two Meta winners hold under $17.76 CAC.Partake publishes allergy-friendly recipe posts, content that suits saved, searched pins.
Google brand searchWhen Meta and TikTok ads lift searches for Partake.Catches shoppers who saw an ad and look up the brand by name.
Retail shoppersOnly after online payback is clear and your team shares retailer data.Partake is in 11,000+ stores; ads may lift shelf sales, which I cannot measure alone.

A channel opens when its condition is true, not when the calendar says so. Until then the budget stays where the CAC is earned.

09 Payback

Soft Baked at $34.99 pays back only if CAC stays low

Payback is the real constraint. At a CAC of $10, the first order pays it back and $19.60 is left. At $20, repeat orders pay it back and $9.60 is left. At $35 and $40 the rule is never: stop, short by $5.40 and $10.40. Partake's shipping, free from $50 and $4.99 below, sits inside the same math.

Margin left per customer, order by order (assumed midpoint, before CAC)
  1. $14.80Order 1
  2. $29.60Order 2

Cumulative margin per customer, order by order, before CAC: $14.80, $29.60.

CAC scenarios and payback
CAC (scenario)First-order marginYear-one marginLeft after CACPayback
$10$14.80$29.60$19.60First order
$20$14.80$29.60$9.60After repeat orders
$35$14.80$29.60−$5.40Never: stop
$40$14.80$29.60−$10.40Never: stop

The math. CAC $10: $29.60 − $10 = $19.60 left; pays back: First order; CAC $20: $29.60 − $20 = $9.60 left; pays back: After repeat orders; CAC $35: $29.60 − $35 = −$5.40 left; pays back: Never: stop; CAC $40: $29.60 − $40 = −$10.40 left; pays back: Never: stop.

Read each row left to right: the margin of the first purchase, the margin over the whole horizon, what is left after CAC, and the purchase on which the CAC is earned back. A scenario that never pays back is a stop, not a test.

10 Scope

What I cover for Partake and what stays with your team

Covers

  • Meta and TikTok ad testing, one variable per test, losers killed early
  • Hook library and briefs for creators across Partake's cookie lines
  • Landing page briefs built on the 20% first-order offer
  • Daily CAC, weekly learnings and monthly cohort payback reporting

Doesn’t

  • Event tracking build: I spec it, your team implements it
  • Product, pricing and shipping decisions, including the $50 free-shipping line
  • Allergen testing and sign-off; creators only use Partake's own wording
  • Shelf, distributor and retailer work across the 11,000+ stores

What this plan covers is what I can change inside the ad account and the creator program. Everything outside it is named on the right so nobody assumes it is handled.

Gates, written before spend, so stopping isn’t a negotiation.

Gates at days 14, 30, 60, 90
DayKeep going if (proposed)Stop or change if
Day 14Tracking reconciles with store orders and at least one ad sits under $29.60 cost per order.Orders cannot be matched to ads; spend freezes.
Day 30Two winners hold under $17.76 CAC for a full week at rising spend. No ad under $29.60 after $14,000 of tests.
Day 60Blended CAC at or under $17.76 with spend higher than in month one.CAC above $29.60 for two weeks running.
Day 90Cohort payback shows repeat orders covering CAC, in line with the $29.60 ceiling math.Payback never reached at a CAC of $35 or above.

Each gate is checked on its day with the numbers in the daily and weekly reports. If the stop condition is true, the spend stops and nothing renews until we talk.
